ENROLMENT INFORMATION

Our club runs programmes for triathletes, water-polo, social swimmers, non-competitive and competitive swimmers.

Groups start with children who are able to: 

Swim 25m no stopping (no fins)

Swim freestyle and backstroke confidently

Basic Breaststroke

Butterfly Kick

If you are interested in becoming a member:

• Contact our Enrolments Administrator at join.icebreakeraquatics@gmail.com with the following information;     Your name, name(s) of child(ren), age of child(ren), swimming background of child(ren), where you heard about the club or from whom.
• Receive an invitation for assessment, and allocation to a group or squad.
• Complete an Enrolment Form 2022 and return to join.icebreakeraquatics@gmail.com or hand to a coach at the pool.  Swimming cannot commence until a form in completed and returned.
• Receive user and login details to SNZ MyPage.

The Assessment

• The assessment is an 'informal' opportunity for the swimmer(s) and parents to meet with a coach.
• Swimmer(s) will need togs, goggles, cap, drink bottle and towel.
• The assessment is approximately 10 minutes, depending on level, the swimmer(s) maybe asked to show freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, dive, start finish and turns.
• Assessment are carried out before the start of 5.30pm sessions.
• Parents are encouraged to take the opportunity to sit and talk with other parents.
• The swimmer(s) is welcome to stay for the session or as long they have feel comfortable.

Registration (Membership)

• Registration includes membership to Swimming New Zealand and affililiation to Swimming Manawatu.
• Membership period is 1 July to 30 June each year.  Swimming New Zealand Membership payment is paid once per year and is not pro-rated.  Club membership fees paid once per year are pro-rated according to start date.  Training fees are paid each quarter.
